Major Pennants

The season commences this Sunday 31st January with a home match against Springwood.  Members are invited to attend as spectators to support the boys - an 11am start.

Hole In One Report

It just keeps on happening at lucky Camden Golf Club.  I think we own a world record over the past few months.  

Ron Hodson had a hole in one on the 3rd hole in the Monday Comp last week.

Well done Ron!  (In sad hole in one news, Gary Hunt didn't).

Great Shot

Geoff Corrigan had an eagle on the 2nd hole during the Monday Comp.  

It could have been a huge shot over the trees and a good putt (or did he hole out from 150 metres).

Book In This Week

We are booking in for 13/2/21.  The Men's Match Play commences the top 16 knockout Round 1 for all three grades on this day.  

Members qualified for this event in the final two rounds of the Club Championships last year.  If you are unable to play all rounds in this event (you could be knocked out in round one, or you may qualify for subsequent rounds) please contact Stu Meani or Gary Hunt.

Congrats - Bob Zelesco

Bob Zelesco had a really good result in the 'Statewide Senior' Order of Merit event at The Coast last week.  

He won the Super Senior (over 65's) event in strong winds with a score that beat some of the best players in NSW.

Well done Bobby!

A Special Request

Many thanks to the members who reminded Greg Matheson that he needs to sign his card at the end of a round of golf.  The 76 members who have thrown a pencil at him, laughed at his hypocrisy and embarrassed him publicly have done the trick.  He was successful in completing this simple task of signing his card on Saturday.  It won't happen again!

Junior Program

If you have a son, daughter or grandchild who may be interested in starting to play this challenging game, now is a great time to get them started.  Stu has a number of junior classes to suit.  For young beginners, the chippers program is on a Saturday afternoon.  If they learn to play early, they won't have the same frustration as us when they are adults.

Camden Golf Club is an approved 'Active Kids Provider'.

All NSW school-enrolled children are eligible for two $100 Active Kids Vouchers each year.

Visit service.nsw.gov.au and login to your MyServiceNSW Account to retrieve your voucher.  

Once you have completed the requested information simply print a copy of your voucher and bring it into the administration office to redeem.
